Jakarta - Indonesia is campaigning sepak takraw to be included as an event in the Olympics as some athletes have introduced it to other countries, a spokesman said.
"For a certain kind of sport to be played in the Olympics it should be participated in by at least 60 countries," Syamsurijal, general chairman of the Indonesia Sepak Takraw Association (PSTI) said here Tuesday.
"The association is confident that it will be realized," he said in the opening of the seventh PSTI national summit.
He admitted that the campaigns for inclusion in the multipost world sports event would need a determination and takes time since some countries have not recognized it.
