We are now already in the month of September in 2010 which means our former Brunei FA has been 'dissolved' for almost two years and after three months of suspension by FIFA at the World Cup Congress of June 2010 at South Africa.
We were very thankful and much appreciative of FIFA for only suspending Brunei FA - and not sacking it and at the same time not admitting a a replacement for the former FA and admitting the New Brunei FA formed almost two years ago (There were then "hot news and speculations before the World Cup Congress that the new Brunei FA would become provisional member of FIFA prior to being full member in 2011 or 2012 - but nothing came up until now).
It also means that Brunei (we the supporters of football) - have no international and regional football for almost two years also.
But the question is what are the football stakeholders doing about our international isolation as far as football and youth are concerned? Does the Ministry of Culture Youth and Sports have something in mind to help resolve the matter?
What are other relevent agencies doing in connection to this matter? Are they all going to resolve this matter as well? Hopefully something will be done to bring back international and regional football to Brunei.
We have lost places already at FAM Malaysia Cup, S League, SEA Games, SUKMA and even Borneo Games - Football which was held in BSB last year and in Sarawak next year.
For the year 2011 it will be three years since we had any international and regional football for Brunei Darussalam - "We are in our own football world and being isolated as far as football matters are concerned" being "fed" with local football tournament only. (DATE_FORMAT_LC2)
