Operations Assistant Manager at Enggsol Pte Ltd

Requirements:
Reports to Cluster Operations Manager. To manage outsourcing daily operations and onsite engineer team on IT operational services and new implementation, but not limited to.

Overall Role Purpose
This is a key role in supervising onsite engineers in managing the production operations and integration to service of outsourced IT infrastructure services. The role runs of the operational process and procedures such as production integration, production control and monitoring of the contract terms. Also, to implement new IT services based on customer’s new requirements.

Exposure
Troubleshooting skills, communication skill, analytical, people management and project management skill.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Manage service delivery to meet or exceed service level agreement.
• A position to manage day-to-day operations and all aspects of the technical and administratively services to the clients. He / She has to ensure service level and quality is always met.
• In charge of manpower resources, personnel and HR matters of Onsite Delivery Team and to provide IT operation services.
• To set, maintain and improve on IT Service Delivery and Support Processes in order to maintain the standard of the day-to-day operation.
• To provide monthly progress and status report, supplementary documentation, and technical services report and if applicable, performance/fault analysis report as requested.
• To represent SOEasy in discussion with customer for issues pertaining to operation and projects.
• Ensure that the Onsite Delivery Team observes security and safety policies.
• Ensure proper documentation of all processes as requested in the contract.
• To ensure all activities are well coordinated pertaining to operational issues.
• Responsible for the improvement to project as well as providing value-added services.
• Coordinate with various parties on delivery and implementation during transition phases.
• Onsite hardware movement tracking and maintenance contract expiry.
• Plan and co-ordinate operation resources, including internal teams and sub contractors.
• Monitor and control all operations activities, schedule, contracts and costing.
• Manage IT Policy, Process and Procedural improvements.
• Focal point of problem resolution and escalation.
• Perform overtime as and when it requires and having 7x24 standby.
• Execute and facilitate in any additional tasks assigned to.

Problem Solving

Requisitions:

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of IT infrastructure experience in IT operation management.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Information Technology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to interact across all levels of organization.
• Experience in leading and guiding a team of IT Infrastructure Engineers in delivering network, server and desktop services.
• Experience in monitoring, tuning, troubleshooting complex networks and systems.
• Experience on IT infrastructure project implementation.
• Management experience and a proven track record of planning and executing successful projects.
• Able work independently and adapt to a dynamic working environment quickly.
• Creative, analytical and with good written and oral communication skills.
• Be self-motivated and with good leadership and problem solving skills.
• Experience in disaster recovery drill.
• Preferably experience worked in government environment.
• Perform overtime as and when it requires and having 7x24 standby.
• Able to support a large pool of users (2000 users).
• Must be an ITIL Certified, Certified IT Project Manager (CITPM) or Project Manager Professional (PMP).

Advantages
• Experience in Wintel, Sun Solaris, AIX, Linux and HP-UX.
• Web server (Apache, IIS or iPlanet).
• Setup and maintain DHCP, DNS, mail servers, VPN servers, proxy servers, gateways and etc.
• Networking concept and knowledge.
• Service Desk or Helpdesk experiences.
Scope of Work
• Conduct daily check on service call(s) in Service Desk system and team.
• Conduct daily check on status of change request.
• Conduct daily check on Agency Daily Checklist.
• Conduct daily roll call on staff attendance.
• Ensuring no operational gaps in service delivering and problem rectification.
• Perform necessary escalation to Cluster Manager in the soonest possible time.
• Having sensitivity and urgency on problem rectification.
• Able to optimize onsite team to deliver contracted services and additional projects.
